The chairman of the Interim Independent Boundaries Review Commission (IIBRC) chairman Andrew Ligale held aconference in the Garissa Library, also present were NEP MPs headed by MinisterYussuf Haji (Ijara) secretary forNorth Eastern Parliamentary Group, Deputy Speakers Farah Maalim (Lagdera), Assist Minister Aden Barre (Dujis), Abdikadir Mohamed, Abdirahman Hassan ollow Wajir south, others were former Mps Hssein Maalim, Abdullahi sh. Dahir.

Wajir South MP Abdirahman hassan (Ollow) read amemorandum on behalf of the MPs and said there is much to be adrresed in historical marginilisation which we feel to be repalced,equitable distribution of natural resources, he said NEP is 22 PERCENT of he whole nation.

Aden Barre took an example of the area lagdera to that of central, he said lagdera is 13000 sq kms with one MP, while Central is 13200 sq kms with 70 MPS.  He also said due to politics the boarder with coast has been tampered and coast is taken 10 kms in to  NEP. The PUBLIC THANKED THE MPS FOR THEIR UNITY AND THEY WILL SUPPORT THEM.
